Oval shaped diamonds
Oval shaped diamond search
Oval shaped diamonds are one of the popular classic choices for an engagement ring diamond. Ovals are less popular as solitaire rings but are very popular in a three stone configuration. The three stone oval ring is always a fantastic ring and will beat out probably any other three stone ring in terms of shear brilliance.
The majority of our customers prefer the three stone option, the solitaire or even the halo setting that has small round diamonds surrounding the center oval. Well proportioned ovals show almost as much brilliance and fire as the round brilliant cut. (depth
,table).
Oval shaped diamond engagement rings are a timeless classic.
Since oval diamonds are longish looking they tend to give the hand a long and slender look.
Although there is no standard for an ovals length to width ratio in our opinion the range of 1.4 to 1.55 to 1.00 is best. The modern oval shape is based upon the
round brilliant and thus called "modified brilliant oval".
Many of our diamonds are ideal oval shaped diamonds. By selecting one of our diamonds you can build a modern oval shaped engagement ring or a more traditional style.
