Just wanted to drop you guys a note about my experience buying a

Working with Michael and Sara on the purchase of a diamond and ring setting was a wonderful and rewarding experience. This journey began not on the internet but at the jewelry store at the local mall, then to the stand alone locally owned jewelry store and finally to the big name jewelry stores who sell at wholesale prices. I walked away from these stores thinking there had to be a better way. In every case the engagement ring I was looking at was expensive and of moderate quality. I believe most my money was going into a fancy expensive setting and not a quality diamond. I wanted to get the largest, best quality diamond I could for a great price. So I turned to the internet and began searching for fancy yellow diamonds. In my search I came across several online sellers of diamonds and I contacted several online providers. In general, I was pleased with what I was finding but one sight stood out among all the rest, thediamond.com. The thediamond.com sight was easy to use and provided detailed information on each diamond it its inventory, including still and video pictures, as well as a scan of the diamond’s GIA certificate. I also liked the fact theDiamond.com took credit cards which made making my purchase much simpler than having to do a wire transfer. It was worth it to me to pay 2 to 3 percent more for using my credit card on my purchase for the convenience and protection. I found a beautiful 2.20 carat, internally flawless, asscher cut, fancy yellow diamond for $18,705, a bargain compared to what I had seen elsewhere. I placed my order on-line, paying with my credit card and expected the diamond to show up in a few days via FedEx. I was wrong. Michael called me to confirm my purchase. He discussed with me that he would get the diamond and inspect it before sending it to me and if there was a problem he would let me know. He discussed other possible diamonds that might meet my desires. Later that day Michael called me back and informed me that the diamond I selected look stunning and he would be sending it out. Michael was not just interested in making a sale but making the right sale, one that would please me. I received the diamond the next day and could not have been happier. It was more than stunning. I spent the next several weeks looking for the perfect setting for my perfect diamond again returning to several jewelry stores in the Washington DC area. Again I was stunned by the prices. I was also questioning if I should return the diamond to Michael and get something less expensive. Since I had a trip planned to New York I called Michael and asked if I could come by their office and look at other diamonds and possibly make an exchange. Michael was more than happy to grant my request. It was one year ago today that
I opened my ringbox and looked at my engagement ring. Its yellow diamond
center stone nestled between its trillions (that does sound and look

I have worked several years in the fine jewelry business and therefore was initially very skeptical about ordering a diamond online. I happened upon thediamond.com a couple years ago after I became interested in Fancy Yellow diamonds and thought it was a great source. Fast forward to the present and I was finally ready to upgrade to a yellow diamond. I was about to purchase it through a local jewelry store though, when I remembered Michael's site and decided to check it out again. I found a fancy yellow Radiant that I really liked online and when I emailed the company about it, Michael personally responded. He was very honest about the one I was interested in and told me about another diamond (that was a little less expensive actually) that was much more attractive. That right there showed me that I could do business with him. I was never a pushy or dishonest sales person when I was in the industry and I like that quality in who I am working with as well. I ended up purchasing the diamond Michael suggested (which was approx. 2 ctw) and he was dead on about it. It faced up larger than the true carat weight and had excellent sparkle and color which are two really important qualities to me. The fact that I had previous experience and knowledge in diamonds makes me a picky customer, but Michael knew what I was looking for and provided it. He and his staff (Sara) were prompt, answered all my questions/concerns, and were professional and polite. It was a great experience and I can't wait to work with thediamond again (maybe another upgrade...even though this diamond is fantastic). This may be a tad lengthy testimonial, but if you’re about to spend a great deal of money on a canary diamond, then you’ll want to read its’ entirety. I have aspired to a canary diamond my entire life, as first viewed one on the hand of an elegant bride to be on her cherished day, where I was in attendance as the “flower girl”, and knew instantly the preference for the canary over the traditional white (and that’s even my birthstone). When I was married 8 years ago, we purchased a yellow diamond (not to be confused with a canary). Recently however, two of the prongs gave way and my stone was lost. When the first ring arrived, I was in
awe....A 1.10 carat fancy yellow, cushion cut, (looks MUCH
larger) set in platinum and flanked by two D color trillion-cut white
diamonds (0.80 tw)......I cannot believe how beautiful this ring is....The
yellow color is just stunning, with much fire and brilliance.
My original wedding set is about half this carat weight, so talk about
getting used to "bling"!
So, I love the ring when it arrives and
immediately start wearing it....My husband loved it also......However,
since this ring was replacing my original wedding ring set, he felt
we needed to complete the look with a platinum-set canary and white
diamond "eternity" band. Who was I to argue with this? ANOTHER
canary diamond ring! I am a very lucky wife!
My husband proceeded to order me the
band (0.70 tw) which consists of four round-cut fancy canary yellow
diamonds, and three D-color baguette white diamonds. You were able
rush ship it out to him the day before Christmas Eve.
The color (yellow) is magnificent on both
rings.....I find myself looking at wedding sets (on the hands of other
ladies and in the stores).....I have yet to see a canary diamond wedding
set like mine.... This makes me feel so special and truly
unique! EVERYDAY, I look at my new wedding rings, and am reminded
how much thought and time my husband put into finding me the perfect
rings to reflect his love and devotion to me, after almost 12 years of

My fianc? and I were looking for something different than the traditional colorless diamond. We found the website and couldn't believe our eyes. I have had two excellent experiences in the last few months buying Canary diamonds from Diamonds. Of course the quality of the items has been wonderful but the most impressive aspect was the care and personal service provided by Michael . The first purchase was a 1.55 carat Fancy Yellow radiant cut diamond ring. When the first diamond I had picked out online was already sold, Michael sent me photographs and GIA certificates for two other stones in the same range. He called me and I was able to look at the photos and certificates to make a selection that was actually better than my original choice. He was clearly interested in satisfying my interests and provided alternatives that were right on target. I was kept informed of the progress of setting my ring by email and received a phone call on the night the ring was shipped to alert me as to the time the package would arrive the next morning. The ring is absolutely beautiful with the D color side diamonds highlighting the yellow of the center stone. The second purchase was a 1.71 carat total weight pair of Fancy Yellow radiant cut earrings. I had selected two stones from the online inventory that I thought might make a pair of earrings, just judging from the information on the certificate. I emailed Michael to see if he thought those two earrings could be a pair in terms of appearance since I couldn't judge the color match without seeing them. He responded that the two I had selected weren't a good match for earrings, but he sent photos and GIA certificates for another pair in my price range that was better than my original selection. The personal service was there again when he called to confirm the type of setting I wanted and then called when the shipment was made. The earrings were a perfect match for my ring and I am extremely satisfied. Did I mention that my local jewelry store had similar earrings but only 1 carat tw with NO GIA certificates for about the same price? For 70% larger stones WITH certificates, what's to decide? I personally would never buy a diamond of any significance that wasn't certified, nor would I pay "jewelry store" prices for stones of uncertain quality. This past Christmas of 2005 I stumbled upon the Diamonds website while looking for a canary diamond ring. Searching the Web for such a stone was not something I would do as a rule; but in my area finding a Canary diamond in any local jewelers is akin to finding a million dollars waiting in your mailbox. blown away by what I found.........both in looks and in prices! I could
not believe the prices! I took a look at the Canary diamond bands and
found just what I wanted........an 18kt yellow gold band set with

On Christmas Day, my fiance' and I got engaged. When he
opened the ring box, I was ecstatic because not only were we finally
going to get married, but he had bought the exact ring that I had raved
about when I saw it months earlier at a popular jewelry store in our
hometown. I was very touched that he got me the ring I really wanted
even though he had said he wouldn't be able to afford it. So, needless to
say, I was very pleased with my ring. Then about three weeks later, we
were at my friend's house and her sister was looking in the Sunday
newspaper. She took one look at my ring and one look in the Jewelry
advertisement and said "Your ring looks exactly like the one I like in
this ad." My response was, "yeah it is does look like it." I was so
embarrassed. Why? I really don't know- maybe because the price of the ring
was right there; maybe because it was as though my ring, the one I loved
so much did not have originality and originality was not important to me
until that very moment. Later on in the evening, my fiance' was looking
through the same advertisement for a ring for himself and he points to the
same ring that was pointed to earlier and says, "Isn't this your ring?"
After shooting him a fiery look, I said, "It does look like it, doesn't
it honey." I was furious- but I couldn't be that mad because I had to
realize he is a guy and has no idea what diamond rings and weddings
do to woman and I don't think he will ever fully understand.
I struggled with this for a
long time and I could not stand it any longer. From that night on, I felt
like I had to differentiate my ring from the one in the paper and in the
store for it to be even more special to me. So, at first I went to our
local jewelry factory because I thought I would just upgrade the center
stone. Then I went back to an old familiar website that sold loose canary
diamonds which I had found when I was toying with the idea of wanting a
fancy yellow diamond engagement ring: Diamonds. I looked on other websites
to compare, but there was no comparison. No other website had the display
and organization of . When I compared the prices with what I was going to
pay for a white diamond, it made more sense for me to pay a little more
for the rarity of the yellow diamond- a style I had always liked anyway. I
called the number on the website and spoke with Michael and he explained
the origin, value, acceptability, and rarity of fancy yellow diamonds. Of
course, if I wanted to change the center stone, I would have to send my
ring to him. Understandably, I was very nervous about this. I was risking
loosing my original ring, for a loose one that may never come back to me.
But Michael was great. I called him almost everyday when I was trying to
decide on whether I was going to ask my fiance' to do it and on which
diamond to choose. Each time I called he was very professional and honest.
He even went to the website where my original ring was to gage
whether he could change the center stone or not. And he reassured me
that it would be beautiful and if I didn't like I could get a
full refund within 30 days. I decided on the 1.35 VSI light fancy
yellow marquise diamond. (My original stone was a .77 ct. SI marquise )
When my ring was done, he
told me when to expect it and it was delivered on that
day (insured delivery). I sent the ring off to him on a Thursday and
I received my new ring the following Wednesday. I opened the package and
was very excited- It was like nothing I had ever seen in person before in
my entire life. The stone had the brilliance of a white diamond, yet it
had the color of an angel-yellow. It was like it wasn't supposed to be
yellow, but it could only be yellow. I absolutely love my ring
and it is ORIGINAL. I can't wait to see my friends again who saw it before
and have to explain how I came to own a fancy yellow diamond. Michael also
did everything I asked him- he suggested a wedding band (the one with
yellow and gold diamonds in it) which he is giving us a deal on
since we bought from him already; he appraised the entire ring for
me, not just the center stone that he sold me for when I get insurance on
it; he gave me care instructions; and above all he gave me a
beautiful alternative to the ring I already loved so much. My fiance'
hasn't seen it yet because we live in different states, but when I see him
next month, I know he is going to be blown away. In fact, his favorite
color is yellow just like mine and our wedding colors are yellow and gold.

ring, therefore I did quite a bit of shopping around to find the perfect
one. My fianc? has always wanted a fancy yellow diamond engagement

searching for one. Your website made my yellow diamond search very
easy. It was informative and the pictures are what helped me to make
my decision. As I said earlier, I searched numerous fancy
yellow diamond websites and not only did they not include
photos, one of other the jewelry websites actually had two
different customer service people that were rude to me when I asked
them for a photo of one of their yellow diamonds. They informed me
that they would not send a photo until I after I purchased it (but before
it was shipped). I was informed "They had customers all over the
world and they couldn't take the time to get a photo for every

I just want to take a minute
out of your day to say THANK YOU! I recently purchased a canary
yellow diamond ring to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. My wife, who has many rings of
various stones, shapes and sizes, has loved yellow diamonds for years,
however we decided that they were too expensive and frivolous. As our
anniversary date approached I thought this would be the time to “look
around” for a yellow diamond ring. I began my search for the ring locally,
in the Philadelphia area, however the selection was poor and the costs
were high. My cousin, who was

First let me say
that buying a ring over the internet, I didn't expect any service from you
guys whatsoever. I figured your business was just a
"get-the-merchandise-out-the-door" place that didn't really have a service
department. Boy was I wrong - Not only did your website arm me with
knowledge that saved me from buying an expensive lifeless diamond, but
your sales staff was very candid and even recommended a particular class
in each of the 4 C's for what I was looking for. Suddenly my budget for an
engagement ring was not only attainable, but allowed me to increase the
size of the stone with the cash I had left over! And after I received the
ring, your staff even sent me an email recommending a jewelry insurance
company to insure it with! Now for the ring
itself. I did so much research about what gave diamonds the best beauty
and fire, and a good part came from your website. I was able to find a
diamond with the perfect combination of depth, table and girdle for the
clarity and color I wanted. I must have done something right, because when

The stone I wanted was sold but, another unlisted stone of similar and even higher quality was offered. I'd like to sing the praises of your site! My fianc? left the job of finding a diamond to me because I had very specific ideas of what I wanted. I found several sites on the web that were interesting, but you actually had what I was looking for. I was very nervous about buying a diamond over the internet, so I decided to check out several reputable jewelers in the area. I wanted a 1.5 carat or larger diamond, color M, clarity VS2 or better. The jewelers I visited didn't have many diamonds over a carat and very few had anything in an M. They had to send out for what I wanted.
